Rediscover Manila’s Rich Culinary, Heritage and Culture
The amazing 5 day adventure started at Lakbay Museo as we experience the rich heritage, culture and culinary of the Philippines. What I love about this museum is that it’s interactive as you can play games and dance together with the performers. I’m also fascinated by the showcase of the culinary offerings from the different parts of the country.
After that, we had lunch at Aristocrat Restaurant, its is a popular dining establishment known for its classic Filipino dishes. The restaurant has been around since 1971 and has become a beloved institution among locals and tourists alike.
We head to National Museum of Natural History which is my first time to go so I’m a bit excited. This museum houses 12 permanent galleries that exhibit the rich biological and geological diversity of the Philippines. It includes creatively curated displays of botanical, zoological, and geological specimens that represent our unique natural history. Situated at the center of the museum is a “Tree of Life” structure that proudly connects all the unique ecosystems in the Philippines, from our magnificent mountain ridges to the outstanding marine reefs. A guided tour walk us through the different galleries, one caught my attention is the remains of Lolong, died last 10 February 2013 was the largest crocodile in captivity. The fascinating skeleton of a Huge Sperm Whale also stunned me. The National Museum of Natural History is perfect to visit if you wanna know the rich biological and geological diversity of the Philippines, an educational experience for all ages.
