The Ambiance
The ambiance of Saboten Philippines is very homey characterized by the very intricate designs of printed cloth supported by wood in every corner of the restaurant. The lighting is very appropriate for intimate gathering or corporate meetings that required a very neat and peaceful place. They have also divider for the privacy of the guests if they need it.
The Food
We had Mille-Feuille Katsu accompanied with grated radish ponzu , unlimited miso soup, rice and shredded cabbage. Every Katsu is well presented with is very japanese with minimal garnish yet neat and tempting to be eaten for its rich golden brown color.
Chicken Salad with Bang Bang Ji Dressing
A very refreshing salad with steamed chicken, grated cucumber, radish and cherry tomatoes in bed of fresh lettuce.
Pork Loin Karaage
A good appetizer to start the heavy meal.
Shrimp Katsu
Tempura fried in perfection with very crispy breading yet fresh, sweet and soft meat.
Tuna Katsu Set
The tuna is properly cooked. Love the freshness of the tuna complimented with crunchy breading on the outside.
Other Items Served
Miso Katsu Tenderloin Set
Claypot Tenderloin Set
Curry Chicken Set
Desserts
Sesame Sansrival, , Strawberry Shortcake, Matcha Lychee Almond Cake and Chocolate Hazelnut Cream Cake. With all the 4 desserts I love the Matcha Lychee Almond Cake for it has a mild flavor which compliment the heavy dishes that been served.
Drinks and Refreshments
For refreshments, I try there Green Tea Smoothie, I love the taste of the drink with high quality green tea flavor in it and light cream.
This restaurant is perfect for those who are fan of Katsu Japanese Cutlets which are perfectly prepared by their Chef. I can see their high standard in every dish that they prepare with the highest quality of the ingredients used. The ambiance and service is superb! 🙂
