Hotel Durban is a boutique hotel strategically located in Makati City which is the business district center of the Philippines. Well equipped with the basic facilities and amenities for a comfortable stay which is perfect for those who are in a business trip. No frills, just pure comfort. That’s how I describe this chic boutique hotel.
Hotel Room
The hotel room is simple and clean with minimal decorations which is I like, just focused on providing comfort to the guest especially when you are always out for a business meeting, you just go in the hotel to have a sound sleep. The hotel room I got is Business Suite is 30 sqm that is spacious enough for 2 persons.
The Business Suite has 2 single bed, sofa, flat screen television and working table which perfect if you have emails to check or something to do. Since I’m on a business and leisure trip I bring my laptop so that I can still work while enjoying my stay in between my business meetings. They also provide 2 bottles of complementary water in a glass bottle that are refillable, a great idea to avoid using plastics, it’s an environmental friendly hotel! Kudos to that! 🙂
The comfort room is relatively simple and clean with cold and warm shower. Freshly press towels are provided also.
Along the Hallway.
The hallway is decorated with images of saints and some interesting art pieces which are instagrammable so I took some photos. 🙂
They use wood for the floor and some furniture, giving you an ambiance that you are in an old house with a touch of minimal modern design.
Farfalla Restorante/Restaurant
Farfalla Restaurant is at the ground floor of the hotel providing traditional Italian such as handmade pasta, grilled pizza, main courses, dessert and vegetarian dishes.
International dishes are also in the menu for the guest and walk in to indulge. The ambiance of the restaurant is modern and minimalist.
Farfalla is an Italian word for butterfly.
What’s for Breakfast?
I had Grilled Soy-Glazed Salmon. It’s Salmon teriyaki fillet with steamed rice with pieces of Nori and 2 sunny side up eggs. The salmon is perfectly grilled with the right kick of teriyaki sauce and pepper. Matched with slightly sweet Nori Fried Rice. Kudos to the Chef! 🙂
They also offer Filipino and International dishes for brunch and breakfast such as tapas, crepes, steaks, fried hashed potatoes with eggs.
The hotel is perfect if you are on a business trip in Makati City and like to stay in a hotel which is very accessible yet not compromising comfort stay and good food. I strongly recommend this hotel. 🙂
