A Little of History
Islas Filipinas Food Products, established in 1996 created the Choco-Late’ de Batirol, a garden-like restaurant located in Igorot Park, Camp John Hay, Baguio City.
Ambiance

On the Table
We tried their original concoction of Chocolate de Batirol, Suma sa Lihia and Bibingka. The hot chocolate was prepared in front of us and demonstrated how it should be done.
Chocolate de Batirol. A hot cup of chocolate is just perfect in the cold weather of Baguio City. The taste of the chocolate is a blend of bitter and sweet. It’s just ok for me, it could have been better if I can add muscovado sugar and a little bit bitter to have a balance of flavor. That’s my preference! 🙂
Suman sa Lihia. This is just ok for me. The way it should be. A good combination of sweet taste and sticky texture.
Bibingka. I think it’s kinda ordinary, I want it to be more sticky and fluffier, it’s dry and grainy in texture. Something to improve on this one, maybe? It’s my preference though. 🙂
Chocolate de Batirol in Camp John Hay is a perfect place if you love hot chocolate and hearty meals while enjoying the beauty of nature and cool breeze of Baguio City.
