Giligan’s Island Restaurant and Bar in MarQuee Mall is one of the chain of restaurant that offers different delectable Filipino and international dishes. They have a wide selection of Seafood dishes and caters mostly for groups for they have menu items which are good for 5-6 persons.

Ambiance

I find the restaurant very ordinary, it’s just a usual set up of a dining area with some decorations on the wall which are so minimal. The lighting is a bit dim. It’s a good place if you want a place which is less crowded.

Food

This restaurant offers different Filipino dishes such as Tokwa’t Baboy, Kilawin, Bulalo, Sinigang and Sisig. They also serve seafood dishes such as Clams with Al Ajillo, Calamares Fritos, Spicy Squid, Baked Mussels, Crispy Shrimps and Crispy Crablets. We ordered the items which is good for 5-6 persons.

Sweet and Spicy Squid

This dish is just ok, the squid is tender, I’m longing for the battling flavors of sweet and spicy but for this one it’s just sweet. The coating is not that crispy.

Fried Garlic Chicken

I like the sauce but the chicken is not that juicy and the texture or crispiness of the coating is just ordinary. It lacks the flavor of the garlic in it.

Sizzling Pork Sisig

I just don’t like their version of sisig which is a bit saucy and creamy. Pampanga is known for sisig, I still love our own original version of this famous dish.

Cebu Style Lecho Kawali

It’s just an ordinary dish for me. It could have been so delicious if they add other flavors or improve the crispiness of this dish.

Roasted Chicken

The chicken is a bit dry. I don’t like it! I’m a chicken lover so I’m disappointed on this dish. It’s a forgettable dish.

Giligan’s Island Restaurant and Bar in MarQuee Mall is a place which is perfect for those who wants a quiet ambiance. The food is just ok, the service is below average, I don’t like the way the waiter approached me as I asked questions and then he gave me the menu just to read the items there. He can do that but in a polite manner. They need to train their waitstaff to be more approachable. They don’t even smile as they get our orders.
